KILL SHELTER & ANTIPOLE (Norway)
Nine While Nine (Sisters of Mercy cover)
— OMG, a Sisters of Mercy tribute album, and I paid for the expensive shipping. Kill Shelter & Antipole have an AWESOME new album this year, check them out. https://antipole.bandcamp.com/album/a-haunted-place
— Intergalactic guitar noodling in a doomy tech death that is a blast.
— Oranssi Pazuzu-ish psychedelic, industrial effects and pagan horror in a dramatic black and death. Multiple listens to get through it.
A THOUSAND SUFFERINGS (Belgium)
— Stark melodies saturate your slumbering brain, and then kicks it in with distorted atmospheric black metal. Good exercise.
WITHERING SOUL (Chicago)
Of Blackened Pillars
— Epic artful death with plaintive melodic and brooding vocals. Fit in some groove and this is just fun.
UNTO OTHERS (Portland)
— Doom, hard rock, heavy metal with goth-loving musicians. Crisp, aching melodies, anguished vocals and sweet guitars have a metal edge.
— Sluggish guitar building to a contrasting eruption. Dark and light, from nothing to a mountain. Soft with dissonance.
— Infectious death mixed with tech death. Guitars are a tornado creating intricate intensity all in short bites of songs.
— An 80's Jim Henson movie montage with some black gaze.
